Last year one of our young members Holly chose Salford Renal Unit as our charity for 2025. The Trust became close to the DA’s hearts following Holly’s diagnosis of GPA vasculitis in 2021. Donations have been collected at Coffee mornings and cake sales but the biggest contributor and champion for trust was Holly’s own daughter Violet who raised money by filling up water barrels for caravan’s at meets for donations.

Unfortunately Holly lost her battle in September 2025. Our Chair Tina, Grandmother to Holly’s beautiful children and Holly’s children were invited by the Trust to meet the staff who cared for Holly and to hand over the funds raised. Tina and family were overwhelmed by how many staff came to meet them and was an emotional day for everyone.
